"I had recent reason to submit a claim to my homeowners insurance. A policyholder of over 20 years, my claim was only the second homeowners claim in my memory.
Briefly, I was robbed of over $3,000 worth of gear from my automobile while travelling in Arizona. Yes, it was a shock, and Farm Bureau was my third call after the sheriff and my bank.
It took me quite some time to assess my losses as they were the contents of three backpacks containing computer equipment, camera gear, bicycling gear, my wallet, and many personal items. I was on a four-month trip and I kept remembering items that were in the backpacks.
Ultimately, I was referred to Scott Jacobsen who works out of the Ponderay office and is local to me. I was quite anxious as I'd repurchased the items that were lost at great cost. I was counting on being reimbursed but one never knows. Mr Jacobsen's assistance was both highly professional as well as personal. He guided me through the process, paid attention to detail, and helped me assemble the documentation I needed.
Shortly after completing the process, I received a most fair and just settlement. A rather nightmarish series of events concluded with me being made 'whole' again.
It is because of people like Mr. Jacobsen and my longtime agent, Walt Dinning, that I continue with Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance. I am sincerely grateful."

"If life is made up of the sum of our experiences then I must take time to thank the fine folks at Farm Bureau for helping to turn one of the worst experiences in our lives into something beyond belief; truly the silver lining in a very dark cloud.
On December 23, 2016, at 2:00 AM, our home burned. We escaped with our lives but lost most everything else we had accumulated in our 39 years of marriage. With emotions running high, I phoned Farm Bureau to report this tragedy and within minutes your Vice President of Claims [Rich Burgoyne] called me back to ensure that we were covered and help was on its way. Within hours, we had lodging and a contents check to help tide us through the holidays. Our adjuster, Roy Kivi, was on a trip and called us as soon as he received word of our situation. He has worked closely with us from the beginning of this process to the very end. In three months and three weeks, our house was completely demolished, rebuilt, and we have moved back into our home where we are taking those beginning steps of restoring order to our lives.
We are so grateful for the experience of our agent, Mr. Sam Rogers, who in his wisdom guided us to have the insurance that we needed to not only survive this experience but to thrive through it. He quickly assured us that we would not be dropped by the Farm Bureau Insurance family but that all of our insurances would continue. Even though it costs us more since this loss, I wouldn't dream of changing companies. We are quick to tell everyone who will listen just how helpful every person we have dealt with at Farm Bureau has been to ensure that we were cared about and taken care of during this life-altering experience.
As we stand on the threshold of 60 years of age, looking toward a new beginning, we are grateful that Farm Bureau has stood with us. "Yesterday, our daughter was involved in an accident that totaled the vehicle she was driving. Fortunately she was not injured in the accident, but I wanted to commend Paul Johnson, Lorene Tolman, and your organization as a whole for how things were handled.
