This month I would like to recognize and celebrate Rob Ellis. In July, Rob and I submitted applications for several sophisticated case opportunities which included Farm Succession/ILIT/LIRP potential. These cases are still in process and involve legal work to finalize, but I am confident we will protect these families’ livelihoods for generations to come.
What impressed me about Rob and the case opportunities were:
-
Rob is organized, meticulous, and a great communicator. He is proactive and manages the client experience from start to finish.
-
Rob’s commitment to excellence and client relationships. He has worked with this family for many years and after the father’s death, continues to advocate for the children and their families. Not only is he providing a smooth transition for their P&C as well as their farm/ranch needs, but he is committed to protecting the family’s legacy well into the future.

Rob embraces a team approach to bring his clients additional value. Although he has achieved Idaho Farm Bureau’s Agent of the year and Super All American status with FBL, he is comfortable incorporating team members with various expertise to ensure his client’s needs are met. Whether it is teaming up with the RFC, a client’s attorney, or their accountant (or all three in our case), I was impressed by his holistic, team-based approach.
Thank you, Rob, for your professionalism in all you do! I appreciated the opportunity to work with you to serve this family’s needs. I look forward to building business together in the future and seeing you have another successful year in business.
UTILIZING YOUR TEAM
Now more than ever agents can benefit from leveraging the power of the team. As Idaho Farm Bureau agents looks towards building momentum into the fourth quarter, and after a slowdown from COVID and stay at home orders, additional resources are a phone call away.

COVID, BUILDING BUSINESS AND #LIAM20
As a state, Idaho production has been strongly impacted by COVID-19 and the challenges these unprecedented times have presented for our client members and agents alike. Interestingly though, Life Happens conducted a recent survey and found that the COVID-19 pandemic has actually led to an enormous increase in consumers’ interest in life insurance.
“COVID-19 has caused us to face our own mortality, which is prompting another important change in financial behaviors. People are looking to re-evaluate their life insurance policies," says Faisa Stafford, President and CEO of Life Happens. Stafford explains that because there is "no rhyme or reason to who gets infected, it reminds us that we aren’t invincible. That is why we start looking for ways to protect ourselves and our loved ones. We use masks and sanitizing wipes. That is also why we are seeing people looking to life insurance as another protection product.”
So as we think about the industry-wide “Life Insurance Awareness Month” (aka LIAM) campaign put on every September by LifeHappens.org, now is the perfect time to get back to building business and serving our clients when they need and appreciate it most.

LIAM SALES TIP
A sales Idea by Brand Novosel, LSA for Life Insurance Awareness Month:
Make Check-in Phone Calls with those 10-15 close family/friends in your life by saying something like this:
“September is Life Insurance Awareness Month. This is a time when our industry makes a concerted national effort to educate the public on the importance of owning life insurance protection. Knowing this I thought specifically of you, and your family. I realized I truly don’t know where you stand with your life insurance protection? Would you mind discussing your life insurance with me?”
