The weather at the Jackpot Golf Club was mild and pleasant on June 29, but something else in the air that day made the golfing extra special - a spirit of charity.

Farm Bureau's Summer Charitable Golf Tournament was held at the club's course that day, and the 30 teams and 150 people who participated in the event raised $7,118 for Make-A-Wish Idaho.

Bridget Robinson, Human Resources Administrator, oversees the annual Farm Bureau event. "Since 2009," Bridget says, "the event has raised over $25,000 for Make-A-Wish Idaho."

Make-A-Wish Idaho is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to Idaho children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization relies on donations from individuals and companies to make these wishes come true. "Together," their mission statement says, "we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses."

The $7,118 was raised from the sale of raffle tickets and mulligans. After a successful round of golfing and fundraising, the charitable golfers enjoyed a barbeque at the clubhouse.
