Trust has always been a key factor in consumers' purchasing decisions, especially when it comes to protecting what matters most.
One way for a company to build trust is to align itself with another group or organization that their target market feels positively about. That's one reason why Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho and the Idaho State University Alumni Association (ISUAA), recently entered into a partnership with each other. This partnership shows that our companies trust each other and by extension, members and customers of each company can also trust the other company.
This kind of partnership is called affinity marketing, and it can do more than build credibility. It can also help both organizations increase their brand awareness and grow their customer base by promoting their products and services to wider audiences.
For their part of the agreement, the ISUAA will promote Farm Bureau Insurance to their alumni through their website and marketing materials. In return, Farm Bureau Insurance will donate a percentage of each policy sold to an ISU alumnus back to the ISUAA.
"There are over 50,000 ISU alumni in Idaho alone," said Chuck McDaniel, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "And that number grows significantly each year. Partnering with the ISUAA to reach this new market is a great way for us to gain new customers."
“The ISU Alumni Association is excited to introduce this new partnership with Farm Bureau to help our alumni with their insurance needs,” ISUAA President Scott Turner said. “It is great to partner with a local business like Farm Bureau, which has been a major supporter of Idaho State for decades. Now Bengal alumni will be able to benefit from a multitude of products, as well as financial support for alumni programs that strengthen ISUAA’s ability to fulfill its mission.”
“We’re proud to be associated with the Idaho State University Alumni Association," said Todd Argall, Executive Vice President and CEO. "And excited about our partnership that will offer alumni competitively priced insurance products from an Idaho-based company while also helping to support the association.”
