Cindy Roberts, a CX Specialist in the Meridian office, is retiring as a Farm Bureau employee on September 1st to become a Farm Bureau agent September 2nd.
By Cindy Roberts
I began my Farm Bureau career in October 1998 as a CSR. I left for a couple of years to take care of my kids, then returned in 2015. I also took care of the Ada County Farm Bureau Federation account for 21 years.
In April of 2021, I applied for the CX position knowing the CSR position was going away.
I’ve lived in Nampa most of my life. The last two years of my high school, my family moved to Magnolia, Arkansas, so that’s where I graduated from in 1985.
Some of the highlights at Farm Bureau have been working with my friends / coworkers in the Meridian Franklin office. We’ve planted a garden every year and had lots of lunches thanks to Mario. He makes the best tacos. We’ve also gone to dinner / drinks and concerts after work. This past year working in the CX Specialist position has brought me closer to the CX Team. I will miss seeing them at our quarterly meetings and get togethers in hotel rooms…
My husband and I have been married 30 years as of April. We have two adopted children, Tyler who is 19, and Brittany who is 26. We also have a grandson on the way. We farm close to 200 acres out in Melba, Idaho, and raise cattle / calves. We also have three horses, one of which is 30 years old. Our three border collies, Chase, Rooster, and Dr. Phil, push me every morning to walk three miles.
We enjoy camping, riding UTVs, and our porch time after work with friends and family.
My last day as a Farm Bureau employee is September 1st. On September 2nd, I’ll start my new career as a Farm Bureau Insurance agent in the Meridian Franklin office. I’m very excited about that.
I would like to thank Farm Bureau for everything they have done for me and continue to do. This is a great place to work!
COMMENTS FROM CINDY'S COWORKERS
Cindy has delivered and supported excellent customer experiences throughout her career at Farm Bureau that have not gone unnoticed. She is knowledgeable, kind and empathetic, always willing to help out, and has been a great asset to the CX Department.
I will miss having her as a member of the CX Dream Team, but so thankful that she will remain a part of the Farm Bureau Family.
Cindy, I wish you all the best as you embark on your new journey!
-Jennifer Briggs, Senior Customer Experience Manager, Home Office
Cindy, was hired as a CSR for the Meridian office many years ago.
Back then, there were only three Farm Bureau agents for all of Meridian, and we didn’t have a computer or fax in the building.
She was very good at her job, so good that clients asked for her by name.
Enjoy your retirement.
