Kathy Worthington, Information Services Data Analyst, will retire on December 31.

By Kathy Worthington

I began working for Idaho Farm Bureau on August 12, 2015. I started in Accounts Receivable, moved to the teams as a tester for Billing Center and Policy Center, and then to Data Control Analyst.

I traveled with my husband and children with the military for many years.  We were stationed within the US and overseas. We had lot of fun adventures and I have had many jobs in my travels. My husband retired from the military and we moved to Pocatello, Idaho, where he was raised.

I was born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina. I graduated from High school there and went to Ricks College.

I can say that the greatest highlights of working here are the friends that I have made and the good times we had working together.

I enjoyed honoring the Veterans the most and enjoyed participating in that event.

I have a great husband, Bill, who I have been married to for 40 years. We have two children - our son, Mitch and our daughter, Leslie. We are also blessed with seven grandchildren.

I have a lot of hobbies and projects to work on when I retire. When my husband retires in two years, we will return to my hometown in South Carolina to be closer to my children and grandchildren.

COMMENTS FROM KATHY'S COWORKERS

Kathy, darn you for beating me in the retirement race! I am very jealous but so happy for you!

I have truly enjoyed working with Kathy for the past couple of years! I love Kathy’s kindness and humor and I am going to miss her so much. The very prerequisite to an exceptional data experience is accuracy. Kathy is a perfectionist in insuring all of the data sent out to our users is accurate and on time. Kathy has added so much value to Operations and I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know her and work beside her.

In the next couple of years, after Kathy’s husband Bill retires, she will be leaving the great state of Idaho to the great state of South Carolina where she will be closer to her family.

Kathy, I wish you a wonderful retirement and a seamless move back home where you can see your children and grandchildren without trekking across the country! Love,

-Denise Baune, Data Control Analyst

Thank you Kathy, for your friendship over the years.

Sure do miss working with you. Enjoy your retirement.

Congratulations.

I have enjoyed working with you Kathy. I was so happy to have you join us here in our department.

I hope you enjoy your retirement and get to catch up with all your grandchildren.

Now the hard part begins - keeping Bill in line.

I will treasure all our little talks and giggles.

Looking forward to spending more time with you soon.
